Welcome to Mountain View High School for 2017-2018!

Principal’s Message

The students at Mountain View High School continually amaze me.  As an example of this, I am extremely proud to announce that our very own Computer Science Club has developed a phone app specifically for Mountain View High School students and parents.  The instructions on how to download this app are attached to this Gazette as a document entitled “MVHS Web App-Add to Homescreen.”

I would like to invite parents and students to participate in a Facilities Master Plan update on Thursday, October 12 at 2 p.m. in the Spartan Theater.  The architects from Quattorocchi Kwok Architects (QKA) and district staff will share the latest building plans for how to accommodate current and future enrollment growth and address maintenance needs.  We encourage you to come hear the direction we are heading, ask questions and provide feedback.

Finally, I would like to remind everyone that next week is Homecoming Week at MVHS and with that come a few special schedules.   On Monday, we will be on a rally schedule and Friday is a minimum day schedule.  I have listed these schedules below for your reference.  I hope that everyone in the MVHS community enjoys our Homecoming festivities this year.

Have a great weekend.

Go Spartans!

Volunteers needed for Fall Teacher/Staff Soup & Salad Dinner

During parent teacher conferences on October 19 & 20, the PTSA hosts a soup and salad dinner for the teachers so they have one less thing to worry about during this very busy time for them. We ask parent volunteers to provide soup, salad and dessert while the PTSA supplies paper products, bread, and beverages. The teachers really appreciate this event and look forward to it every year. It's a great way to show how much you value their time. For those of you who elect to set up, serve or clean up there is plenty of flexibility for you to leave for scheduled teacher conferences.

If you would like to help, please sign up at this link  Each day has a separate tab for sign-ups. You are more than welcome to sign up for multiple tasks. Questions? Please email Lamar Haggart: lhaggart@xxxxxxxxx
