As we wind down the last few weeks of school, here are a few
· Library books are DUE and should be returned
as soon as possible
· Bills/Fines come from the following areas:
o Library Books
o Extra-curricular fees (Athletics/Band/Choir)
o Missing textbooks
· Seniors who have FREESTYLE books out, you must
return them to your Freestyle teachers.
Senior Check Out – Weds. June 5
Wednesday, June 5th at 9:45 am, report and line up in alpha order to the front
of the Theater to check-in with MVHS Staff to confirm that you have completed
the check-out process. This can be verified by bringing in an email
confirmation stating you are checked-out generated by our Senior Check-out
Portal at https://url.mvhs.io (see below**).
In order to receive your cap and gown, ALL SENIORS MUST check-out by showing
that they have returned all books to TBC, ordered their last transcript, paid
all fines to the finance office, and have completed your Senior Survey on
Naviance. If you are good to go, you will receive a ticket to pick up your cap
and gown at the top of the steps to the theater. After you receive your cap and
gown, you are now CHECKED-OUT and ready for the Senior Picnic on the following

Reminder, you will need to log-in to the portal with you mvla email address,
then select "Senior Portal" from the top upper right side of the webpage!
Senior Picnic – Thursday, June 6 (Last Date to Purchase Tickets is June 5th)
The Senior Picnic is scheduled for
June 6th. Buses will leave at 9:30 a.m. and return at 4:00 p.m. Tickets are on
sale in the finance office or online. The cost is $75 per person. All students
wishing to attend the senior picnic must ride to and from the event on
our chartered buses. Again, despite its off-campus location, this is a
Mountain View High School event and all school rules and regulations apply.
Grad Night – Friday, June 1st
Grad Night, June 1st,
is sponsored by the PTSA with a goal of 100% graduate
participation. Visit the Grad Night website https://www.mvla.net/Page/5565 ,
for current Grad Night information. Seniors will be driven to a secret location
on buses immediately following the graduation reception. Students must also
return to MVHS on the bus. The event will end at approximately 5:00 a.m.
Graduation practice is
required to participate in the Graduation Ceremony. It will be held Friday, June 7th, beginning
at 8:05 am in the large gym. The ending time of practice will be approximately
12 noon. Students are required to remain for the entire practice. To
participate in graduation, seniors must have a regulation cap and gown. Wear
sunglasses and sunscreen to practice. Remember, no spiked heels on the

7th at 6:30 p.m. on the football field which is open seating (No
tickets). Seniors are to meet in the main quad
with their caps and gowns in hand at 5:30 p.m.
We are asking
seniors to adhere to the graduation dress standard. Graduation
is a formal and dignified affair, and as such MVHS has adopted the following standards
- Acceptable attire:
Dress shoes and socks, no spiked heels on the artificial turf, dress pants,
dresses, or skirts, collared shirts or blouses, ironed gowns.
- Cultural adornments
- No headbands or
- No alteration or
embellishment of the gown.
- No T-shirts, jeans,
tennis shoes or shorts.
Graduation will be
open seating, (no tickets) first come, first serve. Seating will commence at
5:00 p.m. So that all families can enjoy the ceremony, please do not bring
noise makers and large signs. Please DO NOT save seats. Formal photography of
your student and the ceremony is available from Gradimages. The
